READ THIS: PETER SELLARS
Anyone interested in promoting the arts in this country should be sure to read Peter Sellars's key note address at the American Symphony Orchestra League Conference last June
sharply stated, but I'm astonished that a call for what some of us have been calling "arts education" for more than a few decades should be though provocative! An essay I published in 1970 that called for including a social context in theatre histories was regarded as provocatively dangerous, but that was many years ago!
